Publisher Marketing: We're headed 't the bottom of the biggest hole in the earth in North America, the Grand Canyon. Sam's research helpers uncovered information bout an ancient civilization developin a very advanced civilization there thousands of years ago. They say there have been those that discovered it but took the location 't their graves with 'em. Course ya know Sam learnin stuff like that got him all fired up 't head there 't see if we could find any evidence of 'em. We knew we couldn't do it without help though 'n started lookin fer an Indian guide. Tribes had occupied the canyon since their origins 'n knew things white men was never gonna know. We found Dan Ferren. I'm always amazed bout how lucky we are 't find top notch people 't help us out. When Dan found out Big Mike was Michael P. James the now famous archeology writer I thought he was gonna stop breathin. He got so shaky he collapsed inta a big chair until he could gather his wits agin. When we got 't the canyon we found there was others there ahead of us 'n the race was on. We come awful near 't losin Sam 'n was near out our minds tryin 't locate him. Ya will be amazed at how clever them ancients was bout protectin what was theirs. We're headed where it's hot agin so prepare yerselves. Make shore ya got lots of nice cold drinkin water handy cause even when yer only imaginin what we're doin I'll bet yer gonna feel mighty thirsty. Thanks fer comin along. I hope ya like prowlin around underground. Gramps Contributor Bio:  Holmberg, Branton K I'm a grandfather, and great grandfather, and count those among the greatest achievements of my life. Of course no grandfather, grand or great, can accomplish such an honored status without the grandmother, both grand and great, and children who help create such blessings. I'm truly grateful. I spent many years as a university administrator and classroom professor, and also became an entrepreneur. I'm very long in the tooth and retired many years ago. I've always pushed myself to risk taking the next step in challenges I find daunting. Over the years I've found I've written thousands of pages related to my career choices and know the challenges of professional writing. Some months ago I started writing adventure stories to my young grandson. They were simply a means for me to share my love of adventure stories with him. I had not intended to put them before the public eye but my loved ones, including my grandson, encouraged me to do so. So here I am taking that risky next step in a challenge I again find very daunting. That challenge is whether you the reader will enjoy readin my stories as much as I have enjoyed creating them. I have thrown off the shackles of conventionality and resorted to using the lingo of a late nineteenth century cowpoke. Believe me when I tell you I'm murdering the English language. For you purists, forgive me. To the rest dive in and have fun. Branton Holmberg
